July 1, 2010: More great news! City Manager Michael Cain has let us know that Boyne City has been awarded a Historic Preservation Fund Certified Local Government grant of $54,450 to help restore the Water Works (1910) Building! The local match on this grant is $36,300. This grant, combined with the ICE grant of $285,800 described below, will enable the city to make city-wide water system improvements, and to return the building back to active water system service as a booster station while making other space in it available for public restrooms and historical interpretation.
